WHAT IS MY STORY MATTERS?

My Story Matters believes in the power of everyday heroes and giving kids the tools to see themselves as powerful, important, and in control of their destinies. They have a number of programs that seek to achieve this goal. The project we worked on most heavily for them involved students at Tse'bii'nidzisgai Elementary in Monument Valley, Utah, a Navajo Nation school. Because of the large impact of COVID-19 on the families of the Navajo Nation, we focused on brightening the lives of students who had been effected.

Chloe summed up our thoughts on working with the group nicely:

I strongly believe that the best way to make the world a better place is to give people a voice. I have truly enjoyed working with My Story Matters because they embody this. As the official point of contact for our group, I had the opportunity to talk extensively with members of MSM about the importance of empowering people who otherwise feel invisible. More specifically, children need to feel supported and know that their own story is worth telling. That confidence can be where everything starts for a struggling child.
